Evening Times Property Ladder

Evening Times readers had the opportunity to win £100,000 to contribute to funding the purchase of a property, in association with Lloyds TSB Scotland, IKEA Glasgow and six builders from the West of Scotland; Cala, Robertson , Bett, Persimmon, George Wimpey West and Miller Homes.

The £100,000 cash allowed the winner of the competition to either buy one of the six builders’ properties outright or go towards the purchase of one of the builders’ properties.

Readers collected 28 differently numbered tokens from a total 33 printed in the Evening Times between Sept 7 and Oct 9, answered the set question and sent their entry on the official entry form printed in paper.

Results:

  • Approximately 16,000 entries (5.7% of total readership). This data was captured for canvassing activity.
  • Weekend Times saw a lift of 2,000 copies each Saturday over the five week duration of the contest.
  • Property Ladder contest helped to build and re-establish the Evening Times property supplement. Partner feedback:
